...and I'm back in circulation. I will absolutely keep people in the loop. Just wrangling illustrators atm so once that's done... And ROU, yuppers to Mr Banks, awful loss. He wrote my favourite opening line to any book with, 'It was the day my grandmother exploded.'

Re: Unsung Stories: submissions, mushrooms, brain-chips et a
Thanks both, I'll put you down for 50 copies each of the new books, right? Submissions Grindr is it though? That wouldn't hurt, I've already added it to Duotrope. As for the questions, the limits are very fluid. One of the first books is a novella for instance. I'm more interested in the awesome-per...

Unsung Stories: submissions, mushrooms, brain-chips et al
So I'm going just get it right out there in the open. I am Bono, this is Bonokkah, bow befo- Wait. Wrong meeting... So over here in the UK I'm in the process of launching a SFFH publisher called Unsung Stories. Now (aside from subtly dropping that in so you'll spend your pennies and make it a viable...

Yup, I have to say that's pretty cool indeed. Makes me wish I had a kid so I could buy them a copy, then steal it, then colour in all the monsters the wrong colour. Werewolves are pink and green. You're too young to know that yet.

Days of Future Drabblecast [Retirement]
Inspired in large part by the intro to #322. Offered with love. And a bit of cheek. Ok, quite a lot of cheek... ‘…reminding you, there’s no fate but what we make.’ Shuddering hands stopped the 4168th recording. He knew no one cared about death any more, but Bey had been slipping Rejoov into his mar...

Excited to see a Martian feline, NASA spun the view to the tracks behind the rover, only to find Curiosity had killed the cat. Hahahaha! Awesome. Maybe. But, it's too long to be a twabble. I'll invent time travel tomorrow, I made myself promise to. It's a promise that I have to keep. I didn't know I owned a gun.

Re: Nominations: Best Story : 2013 People's Choice
First off, I wonder if it would be worth separating out the B-sides now they're not universally available? As for the picks: 1) #299 - The Revelation of Morgan Stern - Less nihilistic than The Road, full of complexity and some great imagery. 2) #301 - Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned - for the ...

I'll leave the reins of the editorial beast in your capable claws! Was just passing through to refresh my memory and thought I'd help. I'll take the free promotion, of course, even though I reckon Structural Decay will verb adjective.

If you need a blurb for mine (The Oldest of the New Gods) I'd go with 'This new god is older than our ability to imagine gods.'

Re: Drabblecast 311 – Birds of the Air
I particularly enjoyed the reading on this one - I missed his name (apologies!) but your marketing manager of *ahem* books has a real natural gravitas there. Very enjoyable, gave a good tone to the production. Also, where can I get one of those guns? I think that I'd be happier as a bird. A wagtail ...

Damn you Sherman, you've just made me feel festive with that meat hook song... With the story, I had the same thing as Bo but it wasn't major issue for me. I like resonance in names (likely a hangover from studying Dickens at school) and Cain is about as classic a name for a murderer as you can get.

One for Varda:
The immense cacophony of breaking glass sang. He stared at his son, eyes welling with pride. The spilling bee had begun.

This one's good enough to suggest you rework it to get rid of "thinking Curse". It needs to be "cursing the day she..." maybe come up with a name with 4 more letters than Tom. Thorina, or something. Thank you. :) I was trying to shave characters to fit the commas in. 'twas a bugger. As ever, a step...
