Re: Drabblecast 200 - The Last Question by Isaac Asimov
Absolutely fantastic. I'm sure this is a good story in text, but it probably would've bored me a bit. Hearing it here, I could easily recognize it as an epic story made better by an amazing cast and Norm's stellar production. Loved the artwork too. Thanks for all your hard work Norm, and long live D...

Re: Drabblecast 195- A Matter of Size by Robert Jeschonek
I didn't (and still don't) see it a a parody or reaction to Watchmen, but I totally dig that others do. One thing I absolutely loved about this story was the reversal of the classic superhero trope where a kid gains superman-esque powers (Captain Marvel/Shazam, Prime, etc.). Instead, we get a man wh...

Re: Drabblecast 185- Horror World 2025: Part II
Selena was actually British, and as Schreiber caught in the Part 1 thread was a shout-out to Naomie Harris's character in 28 Days Later. There was originally some "is she an android?" stuff happening there that we really liked, but the story was well over it's word limit at that point and it had to ...

Re: Drabblecast 185- Horror World 2025: Part II
Hey all - just wanted to say thanks to Norm for running our story and for all the hard work he put into this killer production. Many thanks also to all the DC foumites who volunteered to read it and did a great job doing so - it was especially awesome to hear people within the DC community reading t...

Re: Drabblecast 184- Horror World 2025
I'm somewhat hesitant to comment regarding feedback of the story, because I don't want anyone to feel like they can't say what they thought of the story. (You can!) At the same time, I like it when authors pop up in story threads. So hopefully you all don't mind me adding a little more...and hopeful...

Re: Drabblecast 184- Horror World 2025
Hey all - thanks for all the comments and feedback! Glad you enjoyed it (if you did, and if you didn’t – thanks for listening), and glad I got to play in Kevin's sandbox with this one :) To all those who want to know how the collaboration went down, allow me to pull back the curtain: At the end of t...

Have I said before how much I love the DC forumites? No?
Well, I love you all like Lex Luthor loves kryptonite, like Kevin Anderson loves zombies. Thanks for beating me to the punch - You all are great

Re: Drabblecast 179- The Red Bride by Samantha Henderson
Geez. Drabblecast, that is a well-deserved Parsec award, and this story's evidence of why. I read it back in SH when it first came out and it was everything it was supposed to be. Complictated, horrifying, alien. But the way Delia Forget read this, and the production you all gave it? Cannot. Be. Bea...

I loved this story when I read it, but Norm, you once again outdid yourself. It was even better here. The predator-like sounds of Lord Jagged + Sarah Tolbert's excellent narration made for one great ride. Thanks for bringing this one to us!

I'd highly recommend the latest Richard Parks story, too: Night, In Dark Perfection.
Started off being one thing and went ways that I did not at all expect.

Re: Drabblecast 136- The Great Old Pumpkin by John Aegard
I was slightly bummed when this story didn't get to me before Halloween, and slightly bummed that it was a Kevin Anderson story. Then I listened to the story. HOLY CRAP what a great piece of Halloween tricks or treats! I laughed. I shouted. I did fist pumps in the air. Linus vs. the Great Chutulu. A...

Hehehehe. I actually enjoyed Frankenstein when BJ read it, and I hated reading it in HS. Granted, Victor still feels like such a whiny rich brat most of the time (You've worked hard enough to create a life and only when it wakes up do you have second thoughts and bail out? GAH! Then you're wife is m...

Re: Drabblecast 129- Annabelle's Alphabet by Tim Pratt
Wow. This story gave me chills from I think the letter B. Heck, maybe toward the end of letter A. And I just kept shivering the whole time. Amazing story yet again by Tim Pratt, and it's definitely in my top Drabblecasts. The lyricism, Annabelle's inner beauty and innocence, the parents as they beco...

I can just imagine Norm's eyes lighting up when he first read it. He's been wanting to do that for so long. How many of the songs were original? I caught the Sinead O'Connor reference, but I didn't recognise anything else. When I listened to this in the car this morning, I had the exact same though...
