Re: Drabblecast 409: The Dandelion Man by Jack Nicholls
Just spent 30 minutes checking out Gareth McGorman site Penny Lane. Wild, fun, super groovy stuff. Drabblecast seems to find great artists, or at least the strangest. Check it out https://pennylanepublishing.com/collect ... man?page=1

Re: Drabblecst 402- The Moving Stars
Throws me a bit when I don't hear Uncle Norm's voice speaking as the Drabblecast theme song begins to play. But I adjusted, and Sandra Odel did a wonderful job. I really enjoyed the Drabble and the 100 character story in this episode. My kind of stories, the oblivious dead and a pot with murder in i...

I will Survive, The Puppini Sisters version is stuck in my head forever now. Just spent almost an hour listening to their stuff on the internet. I'm now a huge fan. And what a great way to end a really unique episode. I loved the "how to" narrative style, the humor mixed in with a little social comm...

It must have rained this evening, a real downpour.
It was easier than usual to get out of my grave.

I really enjoyed this episode. The story was great, excellent dialogue, but what I enjoyed most came at the end of the episode. I love learning about the author's motivations or inspiration for writing a story. Would love to hear more author's notes at the end of DC episodes.
Re: Sara
Excellent. Well done.

Please don't dial back on the sound effects and music. It's one of the things that makes Drabblecast episodes unique.

Re: Drabblecast 395 - The Slaying of the Dragon
I honestly didn't think I liked this episode when I was listening to it. Not really my kind of story. But days later I find myself still thinking about it. I think Norm in the intro said it was about doom or the growing feeling of doom. For me, it was more about dread. Not much of a distinction betw...

Was really left solemn and melancholy after listening to this episode. Not saying it was depressing but I'm not going to listen to any of my Smith albums any time real soon. Loved all three stories, and really enjoyed the production, from the voice talent to the background music.

I don't think Norm gets enough credit for his episode intros. This one was fantastic. Truly inspired. Even though I listened to the episode in February it made me feel all Christmassy inside. And the story was a nice blast from Drabblecast past. Loved the skull Xmas sweater.

Re: Drabblecast 390 - I Will Remain
I'm not an animal person, don't care much for dog stories, but this one spoke to me. I don't know if it was the Neil Gaiman-like reading or the very pleasing amount of human flesh eating that brought me joy, but I really dug this one. And yes, I thought Nick Camm sounded much more like Gaiman than R...

Really liked this one! It had the right amount of violence and scholarly humor. The Nixon China reference made me laugh out loud. Well done.

Re: Drabblecast 387 - Skullpocket: Part 1
Really enjoyed this one, parts 1 and 2. A great new beginning. But I do not understand why Norm's co-ghost can only come above ground once a year for the Halloween special. I think there are other holiday specials needing his cold touch. Earth day, The 4th of Ghoul Eye, and National Funeral Director...

It’s hard to describe how strange it is listing to astute folks doing a postmortem on something you’ve written. Mostly it was a lot of fun. Really enjoyed it. Like being a fly on the wall in a room where people are talking about you, but in a good way, and without the creepiness of having to be a fl...

Yes! Loved both the story and the drabble. Great episode. So nice to hear that Zombie is back on the Drabblecast Menu. Still my favorite monster, with rodents of unusual size a close second. Top 5 things I love about zombies: 5) no bigotry - they will eat anybody 4) they are familiar – can’t look at...

Hi Tom Trekkies already has an audiobook version, availible on Amazon. Its a good read, not good like Norm would have done, but good. HG World did an audio drama version of one of my chapters, "The Cage." Rish was involved. I wish they would do the whole book. And there is no fame to speak of, which...

This was the first DC story I listened too, and its still one of my favorites. It's really well crafted, tight, and has the kind of ending I really dig.
