Re: Round I: Skirmish (Discussion)

I just wanted to drop in and say how fantastically awesome the site looks this year! It was so easy to flip through the beasts, but not nearly as easy to rank them :) For what it's worth, I like the odds of Slugfest and Unicorpse because of their longevity, but I think intelligence will win out over...

Goodness! Listening to podcasts just keeps getting better! I rushed over here as soon as I heard about Norm's move, afraid it might mean something bad for the Drabblecast - really glad to find out that it just means more Norm Sherman in my ears. :)

Great timing for a bird themed Drabblecast! We were just talking about the bizzaro bird-caused plane crash in my office this morning.

I absolutely adored the alliteration of The Graggleberry Thief. It made for a fun Friday fable. Thanks!

In no particular order..... Weasel - They seem so classically villainous (also because my tag is usually MissToiletWeasel and I have a soft spot for them) Slug/Snail - I can imagine something cool happening with that icky slime trail they leave, and the snail already has sweet armor Panda - For as c...

I really liked this story too. It actually had me thinking a lot about copyright and file sharing - I could see it as a really dramatic metaphor for ripping off someone else's work. Can anyone else see that, or am I just being weird?

I'm with Mr. Tweedy! I can get something useful out of my mundane job by listening to books while I work. He's stopped posting, but it's certainly worth going back and listening to all of the Come, Let Me Whisper stories by Russell L. Burt. I'm also a big Podiobooks fan. ...

I liked the movie a lot more than I thought I would (the camera thing made me nervous going in), and you guys have gone over much of the discussion that my friends and I had following it. Yay! I have to admit though, I kind of bought more into the water origin theory. With the boat capsizing in the ...

Did anyone else hear the Escape Pod story this week ( ... ntosaurus/)? It started out pretty similar to this story, but I think the twist it took was pretty far fetched (because time travel isn't...). I think I liked the Arc better.

I have to echo Adam's sentiments. I've listened to Jelly Park several times, just to hear the music :) But, I think Code Brown gave me the biggest kick. As for the un-nominated stories, I really liked Norm's The Guardian. Could be because it was one of the very first stories I listened to, but it st...
