Re: Drabble Prompts for Upcoming Shows!
Just came to add them for September. August is Lovecraft Month, so Norm picks all those stories by soliciting them; I haven't read most of 'em and don't know the themes.
Drabbles are plucked from the forums very intermittently at present. I am hoping to update our process soon.

Feel free to send drabbles to the submissions address, too, folks. The less effort I have to expend to find 'em, the better your odds.

Re: Unread posts, difficult to spot?
Huh. Learned something new with the little box there. I expect the problem with people getting the read/unread to display wrong, is either their computer or the ISP is caching a copy of the page when they shouldn't. It works for me, but I've visited other phpBB forums which do have an issue with un...

Re: Unread posts
For the record, I've always had trouble with the "unread" and "read" icons appearing more or less at their own whim. Sometimes I've had to try two or three times to get a forum to read as "read" from the main page. I've just chalked it up to "software is weird and the Internet is a hodge-podge of co...

Re: kinda insulted
And another thing... Why is it always Nigerian? Don't these people have any imagination? Local regulations in the country are very lenient on that sort of criminal activity, and many people there are in dire enough financial straits to consider conning the (perceived to be) wealthy West as an ethic...

“The name was your mistake,” I growled. “Arrogant. ’Bottom Shelf Goods?’ What are bottom shelves if not low racks ?” “Yes, very clever, Onceler,” he responded. “But nobody needs you. Not anymore. I’ve got what they need. I’ve got what everyone needs.” “Well, I’ve got this .” He didn’t react to the g...
Re: Clickjack
Yeah. I woke up from a dream in which that phrase was being repeated endlessly. No idea where it came from. It doesn't make a lot of sense, grammatically, though.
Clickjack
He finished the e-mail and paused to reread. He was disconcerted to see, instead of a polite request to be removed from the course, nothing but “FEAR IS WHAT THE PREY CAN CATCH FEAR IS WHAT THE PREY CAN CATCH FEAR IS WHAT” He hit control-A and delete almost instinctively. The page was blank, and he ...

Already Here
We didn’t find out about the invasion for a while. They said on the news the aliens looked like us and talked like us and were generally exactly like us except they came from space and we didn’t. They came down and lived among us, infiltrating every country, every institution, every life. But there ...

The bowl was full of Death, individually wrapped. The skeleton sat on the porch with the bowl between its knees. A sign taped to its ribcage read, “One per person. No exceptions!” The clutch of plastic be-masked elementary schoolers huddled at the end of the sidewalk, unwilling to move forward. “No ...

Re: Drabblecast 310 – The Ugly Chickens
This story reminded me of one of the saddest (nonfiction) books I've ever read: The Song of the Dodo, by David Quammen. Highly recommended on both counts.

What You Make of It
"I do not understand aesthetic concerns about disfigurement," said Hawkins, sawing diligently. Flecks of red spattered his chin. "By definition, scars are something imposed upon you, something you had no control over. Why be ashamed of them?" "Yet is it not so," the demon answered from its perch on ...

Burt Never Did Return That Leaf-Blower
- Morning, Burt. Morning, Dave. - You know your cat, Burt? My cat's name isn't Burt, Dave. - 'Course not, Burt. But he is your cat. Sure. - You know how you said yesterday that his tongue was like sandpaper? Did I say that? - I believe you did, Burt. Well, and it's true, now I come to think of it. -...
