It brought to mind a harmless and slightly ditzy old lady. Till you reminded me of pantomime at least. In the former the last line sounded a little disjointed, in light of it it hangs together better i think.

I enjoyed Spidersong (actually I enjoyed all of them, but especially Spidersong), although did anyone else get the impression these kids were simply being farmed rather than sharing a deeper connection with the spiders? Perhaps I'm just anti-spider.
