Fecal Transplantation

Pretty cool shit, right here. Yes, it is a real procedure. Found it via @drkiki's twitter post.

Re: Drabblecast 164- The Observer by Kristine Kathryn Rusch

I really liked this story. The voice fit it perfectly. The music was top notch. Seriously, every Drabblecast episode makes me a bit sad because it reminds me I have the musical talents of a dead person.

Re: Editing/Audacity Tips and Help

OK, I have a question... what is the best way to set the level, and ensure an approximately consistent volume between recordings (and with other tracks)? I two approaches I have are: - randomly increasing the gain if things seem a bit quiet. - doing nothing This strikes me a somewhat subjective/inc...

Re: Editing/Audacity Tips and Help

I always start my projects with the first WAV file I've recorded for them (handily pre-named STE-000.wav ... slightly joking on the handy part) which should have the same effect. However, when I import a file that has tags into that project, it takes the tags from the file and overwrites the blank ...

There are youtube videos that show in detail how to do this. You might check out a few of them, as each one is geared toward a particular website.

2) If you are not promted to provide the ID tag information when Exporting as mp3, the file will take on the ID's of a previously exported file. Such as with my latest Dribble. I had previously made the "yeehaw" sfx as a separate mp3, and then later imported it into the main "Birthday" project. Whe...

Re: Drabblecast 158- Dr. Diablo Goes Through the Motions

The Drabble News Musical was the coolest segment I've ever heard in a podcast. My jaw was on the floor. A signature episode.

Re: Editing/Audacity Tips and Help

Same question goes for if I want to break my narration into different parts and then merge them into a single track. Is this possible, or should I just create multiple tracks and then time shift them appropriately? It is very advisable to break your story down into pieces that you line up in the en...

The trench they'd dug in a frenzied, life-loving haste collapsed over them as the lead tank rolled unimpeded overhead.

Croak

The bullfrog croaked aimlessly as its quivering round eyes followed the whitecoat from one glass box to the next. The crazed singing from behind the fading letters “group 6, 100 milligrams” drew a chattering crowd. Pens etched into notebooks. The ancient frog was prodded with a rusted wirebrush, the...

Re: Got a voice you want to cast?

http://www.jamendo.com I might not be configuring it right, but when I try to license something off there, it generally costs me about 96 USD to do so. The biggest expense is the "unlimited" which takes it from ~34 a track to 96 a track, but I'm not sure what the difference is between a 5 yea...
