Re: Drabblecast 279 – The Country Doctor
Great show, Norm. I definitely have to check out some more Utley stuff. The main fiction was great but what killed me was the last poem. Wow. And the Sigur Ros background music was the perfect choice for it. You knocked it out of the park with that show, man!

I've read a lot of PKD, short stories and novels but have never run across The Electric Ant. Great stuff. Would love to hear more PKD in the future.

Giant Insects Back from Brink of Extinction
These kick-ass giant bugs were thought to be extinct but a few were hiding on a remote island, now ready to make comeback.

Re: Drabble Reviews Blog
What have people been thinking about The River? I'm horrible undecided. It has an interesting plot, but I'm horribly turned off by the presentation, ala Blair Witch. My interest in The River is waning with each show. Some neat ideas and the premise is cool but the actions of the main characters on ...

WOW!! This is one of my favorite stories EVAAA. I don't even remember my miserable commute to work I was so engrossed with this tale. Weird, creepy, sad, with a dash of hopefulness at the end - great stuff. The cool Sigur Ros background music towards the end was a nice touch also. Kudos, Norm!

Excellent, Excellent! Neat to hear the most excellent skeptic George Hrab narrate, what pipes he has. The story reminded me of reoccuring thoughts I had as a small kid (long before the Truman Show) that everything was planned and I was just a puppet under observation.

Re: Drabblecast 200 - The Last Question by Isaac Asimov
Wow, that was just great. Read the story probably 15 years ago so when I saw it downloading I was pretty excited. The production and artwork were fantastic. There have been so many great shows but this one was tops.

Re: New Zombie-Ant Fungi Found
That is insane! I would hate to be an ant. What the hell, you go out on a normal day foraging for dead insects and such and you end up becoming a zombie with a fungi stalk sticking out of your head. I guess my bad days at work aren't so bad after all. Argh!

Loved this story. Neat concept, having your conscious move along in the creatures that devoured you. What a bummer for those people buried in the earth, I would rather be devoured by eagles.

Listened to this on a road trip with my high school lad, after it was over we looked at each other and both said "that was awesome". Perfect DC fare, mysterious and creepy. I agree with Paranatural, Larry was the perfect choice for narrator on this one. His voice fit and he knocked it out of the park.

They were probably pussycats??!! Probably not. They were probably pissed-off ass-kicking death machines. I reject the experts' analysis.

Re: What scared you as a kid...?
Clowns. I was in a summer program the library put on and one day they had a clown come in and I freaked out. They had to call my parents to come get me. Can't remember what age I was or many details but I just remember how big and freakish he seemed. Mirrors. When I was in second or third grade all ...

Good stuff. It had a cool steampunk vibe and a good creepiness factor with the bad-ass crab aliens. More Samantha Henderson!
