Re: Podcast readers: do you annotate your stories before rea

Dj, Let's see. I don't annotate for tone or dramatic intensity. The story line usually does that on its own. I do, on occasion, highlight different characters...particularly if the author doesn't use any "he said..." or "said Susie...". Of course, I have the luxury of digital editing. There are time...

Re: Drabblecast 200 - The Last Question by Isaac Asimov

There have been may comments regarding the superb production of episode 200. I concur. As one of the narrators, I only recorded (and saw the script for) my small part. When I finally heard the finished work, it was seemless. I had a conversation with Ray Sizemore (check that off the list) without ev...

Re: Where is Episode 200?

Ah, you see...I'd have to get past the OCD to listen out of order. It's just not right.

I'll make a special effort...this time. But let's not make it a habit.

Where is Episode 200?

Norm,
Did I miss something...doesn't 200 come after 199? My view of The Drabblecast is showinf Episode 199, then Episode 201. I refreshed and everything.
Just checking to see if everything is OK over there.

Re: Admin, where are you?!

In an effort to maintain my humanity...Don't kill me! I don't know what my post count is...but I'm a narrator not a poster...I don't type here much.
Whew...is that good enough? Can someone vouch for my carbon-based-ness?
I feel all Matrixy.

Re: Drabblecast 186- Garkain by Samantha Henderson

I usually try to avoid posting about the stories I've narrated, but only having seen a portion of the text prior to listening I felt I had some wiggle room. First off...creepy story. I liked the setting, the style and perspective. A perfect fit for the Drabblecast. What sets this, and most of the Dr...

Re: Drabblecast 181- Funeral Song for a Ventriloquist

Hey thanks everyone for the kind words on my narration. I had a great time trying different subtle voices for the dummy...how creepy, how old, etc. It was fun. I wasn't sure how the Drabble-listeners take to a Non-Norm narration. I need that on a t-shirt..."Non-Norm". That's one of the great things ...

Re: The Work That Must Be Done

I listened to the Drabblecast containing this today....BRAVO! Not your typical anthropomorphic toy story...focusing on the employees..brilliant. Almost a Twilight Zone ending, but again, focusing on the people...again, well done. I delight in the precision and brevity of Drabbles. Much like a comic ...

Norm, Just subscribed to the B Sides. Catching up. Watched BS1 while waiting for my youngest at piano lessons...how appropo...he's working classical piano and you're milking whales. Well done sir. An excellent set. A quick question based on a possibly incorrect observation: Do you have perfect pitch...

Re: Story Production Betterment

Norm, Long time listener, first time poster....well, I haven't been listening for too long, but I did run back-to-back-to-back-to...episodes to catch up. I will concur with most posters here that your production values are excellent. I listen to several podcasts of this ilk, namely StarShipSofa and ...
