Re: Tuned Out
I really actually do despise poetry. I'm just not very good at it. ....Now that I'm in more of my element, taking creative writing courses with a bit of a macabre tone to them, I'll be around a lot more often. I'm actually working on a great demon short story right now that will be a nice fit, I fee...
Tuned Out
(A death poem for television. okay... so this one is a bit of a stretch, and I'm conflicted about posting it here, but it's kind of fun so I'll risk it not quite fitting in just for sake of sharing. I've been away too long and miss you guys. As I mention in my last post some friends and I have been ...

Re: Tasteful Parenting
(Been trying a new writing exercise with a group of friends, where we draw random words or phrases out of a pile and have 10 minutes to write a story that incorporates all 3 cards drawn for the group. It's silly and quick, but rewarding, and seemingly easy enough to turn into 100 word drabbles. This...

Tasteful Parenting
Parenting doesn't come easy for all. Some need a little help now and then. Like poor Mrs. Kikomen. Silly thing. I've been trying to help her for years, but to no avail. It's been so very overwhelming, and frankly driving me a little out of my mind. After all the detailed instructions I've provided, ...
Re: Literally
Ha! Nicely done. I was just making fun of a someone on my facebook feed for using the word incorrectly, saying his horoscope literally said his week was going to suck. I asked him if his horoscope literally said that, or if it said the week was literally going to suck, because either way I'd be impr...

Re: Bagel Heads
Hope you're feeling better/recovering quickly, ROU.
And you're all VERY welcome btw. If I had to witness it, you better believe I was going to share that "joy."

Bagel Heads
Body modification isn't that far fetched of a thing for me to wrap my cognitive functions around. Tattooing snake scales on, or implanting horns, or getting fangs... it's just integrating into other areas of the animal kingdom, is the way I tend to look at those that partake in the practice. But BAG...
Re: The Plea
My mind enjoys playing with this one far too much and imagines the possibility of the phantom hand tapping out a message back in morse code.
You may want to play with this idea in a longer format of short story or even novella. It has a great deal of potential!
Excellent job.

Whole heartedly agree. ...Which is slightly less messy than a quarter heart agreed. Just FYI.ROU Killing Time wrote:I have recently proved that fact can be MUCH stranger than fiction.

Re: Nourishing Slaughter
I have to confess, this drabble was inspired from knowing someone once who claimed to be a vegan strictly for "health reasons." But then refused to eat honey, despite its health benefits, because bees get smashed when collecting it. Their justification confuses me still today, years later. Thanks fo...

Nourishing Slaughter
I had to change my diet after realizing how many lives were wastefully destroyed for the sake of my simple meals. The horror. The GUILT! I couldn’t take it anymore. No life, no matter how insignificant, should be sacrificed for my table. I’ll change my habits. I’m changing my habits. I’ve changed my...

Land to land, hour to hour, the witching hour glides. Demons endlessly hunt. Eternal looping darkness. A grand design.

Ha. Nicely done.

Entry #26
Entry #26 Failed again. Hope persists, however. For now, the scrapped prototypes are causing more clutter than I care to admit, and frustration is mounting. Maybe I expect too much. Maybe I’ve built this concept of man up too much in my head. The last one wasn’t horrible. Just missing a rib, and I d...

Re: Waking Revelation
Oh, I Love your signature quote: "A story doesn't have to have be happy, to gain happiness from a story." I've felt so self-conscious this past year+ or so, feeling like a walking black cloud, and few people want to walk around under that threat of rain. I'm sorry for that. But yes, it's my persona...

O nose! It always starts this way. First it's the charming accent, and the enormous knife. It won't be long, though, before he's dropping hints about how all the prettiest girls hate Snaketopus, and the amazing tricks Cricket Bat can do with his legs. lol. I was talking about the STORY of course! :...
