I'm still pitching for the write-in of Sir Anthony Hopkins. Sir Elton John couldn't make it. :|

Re: The Showdown

But Minhotops says to Bandersnatch, "Hey look at that, a tiny piano player!" Boris then finds a magic lantern, rubs it, and asks the djin for a million bucks. The bar is suddenly cram full of mallards. "What's the deal with that?", Boris says to the bartender. "I ask for a million bucks and get a m...

I'm clearly not well-versed in Mega-Beastdom. How did Beowulf make it into the mix? Is this one of those begatting things? :?

Re: The Showdown

Thanks for the nod. I've never...drabbled...before, much less in public.

It could've been more carefully crafted, indeed.

Re: Drabblecast's New Darling

Come on, though, you're all with me on this. The best way, nay the only this should have been discovered is when it's twenty foot tentacles grabbed a Mexican* fisherman from his boat and dragged him to his death. *insert racial stereotype here. I'm with you, but would be amused (possibly moreso) if...

The Showdown

The Minhotops, Bandersnatch, and Boris walk into a bar on a Sunday night battle weary after two weeks in combat. Boris suddenly swatted at the embedded splintered battle remnants off as though a swarm of cockroaches had engulfed him. ‘Snatch bobbed his head to the non-existent blare of music hoping ...

Re: MB4 Finals - Minhotops vs. Bigger Boris vs. The Bandersn

But, if I recall my Greek and Roman mythology lectures correctly, the Minotaur never actually figured out how to get out of the labyrinth. I think we're running into an issue of smarts (or lack thereof) again. That being said, I'm still confidently casting my vote for Sir Anthony Hopkins. Sorry, Bor...

Re: If we erase our memories, do we erase ourselves?

Refined, it could certainly be useful. Imagine it commercialized...remote controls...rewinding things, super slo-mo, skipping United Way meetings, erasing the drunken mess of a second marriage...imagine a master database of all memories that could bot out and reprogram all associated with said event...

I suspect she should either be offended and I should be flattered (or vice versa). I can only do a very bad impression of myself. On a good day.

Re: MB4 Finals - Minhotops vs. Bigger Boris vs. The Bandersn

True, that, though I'd welcome any semblance of an invasion of any number of badass single men around these parts. There's ample room in the crawl space for the bodies, if they're not traveling light, say.

Re: MB4 Finals - Minhotops vs. Bigger Boris vs. The Bandersn

Let's look at this in films terms, shall we? Boris - basically the kodiak bear from The Edge. Size and strength meant nothing, he was srill killed by Anthony Hopkins. Ninja skills would have possibly helped, but... Anthony Hopkins? Minhotops - I'm thinking the Scorpion King Dwayne Johnson thing her...

If we erase our memories, do we erase ourselves?

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/the-daily-need/if-we-erase-our-memories-do-we-erase-ourselves/5322/ Clearly PBS is trying to redeem the damage Barefoot Gen did to me as a child. I thought it was a cool cartoon until things started melting. Then again, I recall thinking the same thing after dro...

Re: MB4 Finals - Minhotops vs. Bigger Boris vs. The Bandersn

Because I've grown to believe "May temporarily hallucinate or retreat into delusion" is actually a strength, not a weakness, I'm backin' Boris.

Sorry, Boris, none of my 11/4 candidates were elected either. This vote likely seals your death. I have that knack.
