You know, its only a matter of time before a few of these ants wind up getting superpowers from this and start manipulating electricity to their own ends. I think the only way to deal with the problem is to need to train a secret team of super powered anteaters. Perhaps Parliament can call up Congre...

On one hand, there's a really high chance that they won't find anything. Still, a small part of really hopes that the guys walk back to some city with acid and electricity burns and say something like "It's real..." before collapsing. They wake up in the hospital weeks later with no memory of the ex...

Given the drabble, that is both hilarious and very, very creepy.

Letting Go

My mother kneeled down beside me, crying. “Please, John. If you don’t bring him back…” “No,” I stated firmly, “I already found him the last time he left us, and look where it got us!” I shouted, “He left again, just like he always does.” “But… you’re the only one who can bring your father back to me...

Speaking of underwear: a company in Germany manufactured a bikini that dissolves in water, marketing it as the ultimate gift of revenge to your ex. It's called the "Get Naked Bikini" and after about three minutes in water, it completely dissolves. You know, that sounds like drabblenews all on its o...

“Son?” I called, looking up from my screen. “Yeah, Dad?” He asked, standing in my doorway. “Don’t date Suzie.” “What? But -” I held my hand up to stop him. “It’s just that… it’ll have negative effects on your future.” He stared at me blankly. “You crunched the numbers, didn’t you?” I nodded. He shoo...

The thing is, with computer simulations, you can game alternate ultimate realities. It might be fun to have a story in which both roads in every fork are taken, so that the best choice can be made. And then having people explain why they didn't chose the best road. But try to put it in a Drabble. T...

The Farmer

My wife and I stared out the dirty window as the rain finally stopped. I grumbled, pulled on my boots, grabbed my spade and headed outside. The field was a mess after this morning’s rain, and we worried that the extra water would ruin the crop. I dug up the first one I came to. I pulled it out by th...

I seem to recall posting somewhere on the forums about transhumanism, and now here's a great story on the topic. Weird... Anyway, I thought the story was well written and presented - a great depiction of the future where we have the upload technology, just not the force-grown clones to make us truly...

A nice twist on the traditional tale of "the Midas touch"... though I have to say, I'd probably turn criminals into gold but use the money for myself.

This would actually make a pretty good superhero story, come to think of it...

I must say, this was highly amusing, and inspired me to write my own story with demons and deities loose in the USA in a similar vein. Shameless self-plug aside, holy crap this was wicked awesome (terrible pun intended)!

I have a feeling that this is going to wind up being another complete and utter hit, like Jelly Park and Code Brown - amusing, well written tales with no point or take home message at all.

As much, if not more fun than 122, which is saying something. Keep it up!

Well, as requested I've added a verse so it's structurally identical to the original. (I think I really nailed the 3rd verse there too.) I'm pretty sure that Norm's very first bbardle was a review of a vast tract of DC history so I don't want to be redundant, and since the theme of the ditty is abo...
