Re: To Feast on an Endangered Species

You didn't even think twice about the cumin-paprika massage oil. Delicious drabble.

And Varda, nice reference! I wonder if that episode was less hilarious when it originally aired than it is today. Because man, what a punch line!

Re: Homicidal Entendre (Simulation Theme maybe)

I can think of two acts it's simulating, fittingly and horribly intertwined. I agree with chemistryguy, this is a perfect Halloween piece for Drabblecast, and nowhere else, ever.

Re: Making New Friends (Simulation Theme)

I love it, Varda. I've got some online friends with whom I feel closer than most of the people I know in "real life." As far as I can tell, they are all actual people, but I guess you never know.

Exponential Growth (Simulation theme)

I still remember the day we brought Jeremy home, and all the scrapes, laughs, and video games. I remember his college graduation, too. He was literally beaming, the whole ceremony. Selena and I felt proud of his achievements and his hard-wired work ethic, like we were both responsible and not respon...

Re: Episode(s) not appearing in DoggCatcher on Android

tbaker, I went ahead and copied the address for the m4a feed from drabblecast.org and pasted it into DoggCatcher, and now it's working. Weirdly, when I search for "drabblecast" in the app, like 8 different feeds come up, and most of them only show up to episode 295.

Re: The Beginning of the End

strawman, I respectfully disagree. I think the narrator's suicide was the best way to avoid suffering the consequences of his actions. Perfectly cowardly, perfectly villainous. In other words, nailed it. Welcome aboard, BagABones, and may well-written drabbles fill you until they burst out of your m...

I missed the first draft, but this is spectacular. The ending is positively groanworthy. Good work.

Episode(s) not appearing in DoggCatcher on Android

Not sure if this is the right place to mention this, but this episode (296) still isn't appearing in the feed for me (using DoggCatcher on Android). Any idea why this might be happening?

Cymraeg, welcome! Come in, sit down, have a glass of... actually, don't drink that.

Nice drabble. Hard to beat a good torches-and-pitchforks mob... because there are so many of them, and they have torches and pitchforks.

Keep drabbling!

Pants, you're welcome. You might want to take a little nap now and get a head start on them.

Varda, Don't be ridiculous. I'm sure it will be fine. Nothing a sponge and a little soapy water can't handle. Shame, though. I will miss that beautiful song it sings. So sweet and calming. So

This is actually a Drabble-poem-bio.

As for Skittles, still a better vampire story than Twilight. Love it.

Does Not Kill Us (Endangered Species theme)

Day 8. This continuous dripping is starting to annoy me. Drip. Drip. Drip. Day 9. The man comes into the room, leaves the room, every day. He doesn't look at me anymore. Maybe because I am so insignificant. Maybe because I am so hideous. Day 10. An ant crawled onto me today. It did not crawl off. Da...

Welcome, Zyzyx!

Oh dear. This is impressive. There's always someone less than human, indeed. Now we do most of our human testing in the post-approval, pre-recall/class action phase. Millions of less-than-humans waiting to be cured.

I like this one very much.

Re: One Size Fits All (Journal Theme)

I keep telling myself that an army of identical modular men is what should be scary about this, but I don't believe it. What is really chilling is that the narrator is conscious of his/her loss of identity. I like the title as well. It's not really a story about fashion, is it? But it is a story abo...

Re: Rain Clatter

Welcome! Nice drabble!

I think it would read easier if you broke it into more than one paragraph. But the content is nice. We're used to drabbles with a twist at the end around here, but I loved the idea of little dragons who are amused by clacking their talons on a roof. Very cute.
