Re: The Chamber

The whole gun idea I had read before and I am not as much into the riddle pieces. So this wasnt one of my favorites. But it was concise and well written. For those reasons alone it may be picked up for the drabblecast.

Re: The Secret Ingredient (The Apprentice Theme)

I know this is going to sound completely irrelevant, but I cant help but wonder why they are not using smoke to calm the bees. Perhaps they could burn the field...

I am getting off topic though. Good drabble

Re: Suburbia

I can read this one two ways. First they fear a supernature horror. Second, it is a commentary on american surbansim where neighbors do not really know each other and everyone is fearful of everyone. Using this latter interpretation you can feel like it is almost channeling the paranoia that led to ...

Re: Smile

The first part of the story made me think about how that added a sister in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. All of a sudden she just appeared and was accepted. Of course in taht story line she was the key and they were protecting her from some elder god woman. Here Cheryl maybe the elder god.

Re: The Truth Behind Rejection Letters

Lol I was just talking to one of my rangers about something similar. Im up to some ungodly number of technical reports, newspaper articles, book reviews, journal publications etc... but I cant sell one fiction short story to save my life. Hell I cant even really give them away. It is an interesting ...

Re: Weekday Warriors

I know this is supposed to be role reversal story and it is a good one. However, a part of me cant help but think about it as people moving on and growing up... we used to play a wizards and warriors and now we roles as accountants and computer technicians.

Oh my god... Munsi still remembers Mork and Mindy! lol.

I actually thought this was fun. It is a good commentary on our present reality tv craze.

Re: Drabble Facts! (Not a Drabble)

Doesn't surprise me... drabbles are a good way to get the creative brain juices flowing. Hell sometimes I come look here when I am writing non fiction just to give myself a little smile. It also doesn't surprise me that scattercat has had the most drabbles appear. I know he writes a ton of flash fic...

Re: Knock Knock

I honestly thought this was going to be a knock joke... but I was wrong. It is interesting to see the story from a different perspective. This one wasn't as thought provoking but it was still a good drabble. It would be interesting if they ran the set as a pair... now since no one gave a knock knock...

I say good riddance. Canadians are just Americans with bad accents! or is that the other way around?

I knew they would pull something like this someday.

A poem is an excellent way to do a drabble. You get more bang for your buck. Loved the content on this one too. Who doesnt love Psycho?

Re: Drabblecast 286 – Unique Chicken Goes in Reverse

The story was exactly the sort of thing I expect drabblecast to run. It was strange and irrelevant. I am not sure I got it, but it didn't matter. It had a chicken pecking a priest in the nuts. For that scene alone, it gets two thumbs up. Also loved the drabble and the twabble (congrats again varda)....

Re: Lovecraft (you'll never guess the theme)

I don't know guys. It seems like every other adult anime video has a monster with a lot of tentacles forcing itself on some helpless woman. At least in Japanese culture the line between lovecraft and porn is pretty blurred. Good drabble. I always thought the love boat was a place of horror. You just...

You are reaching all new levels of strange Varda. However, I think this is as good a place as any to congratulate you for having been the featured twabble author in the last two drabblecast episodes. So congrats!

Re: Imagination Is A Wonderful Thing

I still liked the delivery even if it was featured on a post robot chicken episode. As for Calvin and Hobbs, do they still run that comic? My wife was a big fan and has a ton of the collections from the 1990s, but I have not seen that comic in a long time. We may all be dating ourselves by referenci...

Re: Run To The Roof

Cool imagery. It kind of reminds me of the happening by M. Shalyman (I am probably misspelling his name, but you know which one I am talking about). At first I was going to suggest you right a prequel telling how it happened, but that movie was good right up until they started to try to explain it a...

Sweet drabble and congrats strawman. I look forward to having grandkids myself one of these days. My youngest are still in diapers though so I got a ways to go... or maybe not. Sometimes I tell Alaric when I clean him to check out his poopie and make sure no babies are in it. We wouldn't want to be ...

Re: The Humans Bite Back

I am going to have to ask my wife and son about zombacon in minecraft... it does not surprise me. It makes sense though. I mean zombie flesh is an aged meat. I went to tapas restraunt a couple of weeks ago and they had really high priced aged ham. I figure that is got to be similar. Pigs and humans ...
