Re: Drabblecast 337 - The Only Game in Town
Desmond, excellent follow-up! You really help bring a face to the story, which is always a plus. I think Norm's southern upbringing brought out the Southern Gothic comment. :-) I think your use of Lovecraft characters and situations, rather than prose style, is one of the reasons this story is so su...

Re: DC Merch?
Guys, this is good. There are plans in the works for something similar. What I would like from you all, is a list of merch that you think would really sell. I'll make up a poll after we get some more good suggestions going, and lets get the top items out of this.

Re: Bsides 51 - Francisca Montoya’s Almanac of Things That C
I listened to this again. Excellent use of the list format. I traditionally don't like the list format, but the author was so subtle in working in the tangents. Just like a conversation, where conversation branches are inevitable. Also, the narrator said "Growing up in Mexico, as a boy I learned..."...

Hello Bob! Not only was I gone this weekend, I was also sick. Very sorry about the delay in responding. You should have received a confirmation letter from Norm. However, he is in the process of moving. ASID PM'd you credentials which will get you up and running! If you have any more questions, plea...

I just looked into it, and as things are now, we are including the summary for the most recent 10 shows, and bare essentials for those older than 10.

Thanks for your interest! Keep this love of the DC going!

Re: Drabblecast 337 - The Only Game in Town
Desmond, write more stories for here, eh? I love your stuff.
Great story. I like how it was generic apocalyptic, and then the reveal was lovecraftian.
Some of the great authors have been dying off, and now I know why. You wanted to make some space in the DC lineup for yourself.
Well played.

Re: B-sides RSS feed starts at #24
An entry can have a whole story in it, like on the main feed. The main feed is currently 277KB with 50 episodes in it. At another time, it was 450KB. If I push it and up the count, a big story will push us over the limit, and nobody will get the new episode. Damn safety margins.

Re: B-sides RSS feed starts at #24
RSS feeds should be limited to 0.5MB. Anything over that, and many pod catchers croak on the feed, not updating. The files they link to (the episodes themselves) can be almost any size.

Re: Unread posts, difficult to spot?
Huh. Learned something new with the little box there. I expect the problem with people getting the read/unread to display wrong, is either their computer or the ISP is caching a copy of the page when they shouldn't. It works for me, but I've visited other phpBB forums which do have an issue with unr...

Re: B-sides RSS feed starts at #24
I've bumped it up to 50 episodes in the feed. Unfortunately, that is the max I can safely support in any feed before it gets to large for podcatchers. There are plans to make those archives available to download in bulk when we refresh the website. ASID, it unfortunately is simpler than that. iTunes...

Re: Can't find B-sides, using iPad and iPod
Sorry for the delay in response, and sorry for the troubles you are having! The problem is actually much more complicated than it should be. Easy answer- using safari on the iPad, go the drabblecast.org. Enter your b-sides login info in the sidebar, and listen/watch episodes directly from the web pa...

Re: B-side #20 is DC #278
I'm not even sure where the feed burner link exists anymore. Anything that exists there is a cached copy the feed burner holds after Norm moved to for-pay b-sides. There is no connection to that feed and the actual B-sides feed at all any more.
