Wiping my own piss off the back of my head, I stormed out of the men's room. It was time to take the portal gun away from Drew.

Gravity, or the Lack Thereof.

Rick discovered gravity had stopped when his nose smushed against his living room ceiling. Like most days after school, he’d plopped down on the couch to nap. Also, like most days, his mother had scolded him for his laziness. He could hear the screams of people outside as they floated into the sky. ...

When Pants Attack

When we heard the news that pants everywhere had become sentient, no one took it seriously. Most of us shared the same thought: They’re just pants. What kind of damage can pants really do? It was a question that would soon be answered. Trousers constricted with enough force to shatter bones. Elastic...

Caught With My Pants Down

The door swings open and she screams. Caught off guard, I almost leap from the toilet. I’m embarrassed and try to explain. “You… you came home earl-“ Another scream cuts me off and she backs into the hall where she faints. I sigh and tear a few sheets from the toilet paper roll. I pull up my pants a...

Re: Drabblecast 298 – Flying On My Hatred of My Neighbor’s D

I really liked this story. Not more than a few minutes in, I was wishing I had thought of the concept of fueling the world on the power of hate. I really loved the ending and was glad the narrator was still able to go on the journey. The reading was spot on, as well. Great episode.

The weatherman smiled. The rain arrived as he predicted. He had not predicted the rain would come as washers and dryers.

Tuesday morning I woke up screaming. I had been having a terrible dream, the details of which have entirely faded from my memory. It must have been the most horrible of nightmares because it is now Friday and I am still screaming. I have not slept. I've had neither food nor drink. I was fired from m...

Thanks for the the feedback! Do you think making it "I've had neither food nor drink" would work better?

The Wheel

“I’d like to buy an ‘E’, please.” “There are four,” the host announced. Across the stage at the game board, a beautiful model turned over four blank tiles to reveal the vowels. Chantelle studied the puzzle. She smiled, “I’d like to solve the puzzle.” The host’s lips parted in a toothy grin, “Please ...

Servitude (Somebody's Gotta Do It theme)

Randall shoveled the last load of waste into the wheelbarrow with a grunt. He stretched his back until it popped, the sound echoing off the walls of the cave. Sighing, he wrapped his calloused hands around the handles, lifted, and began the long journey to the mouth. A two hour walk lay before him a...
