Piddle and Whizz ran out into the street... their pace only slowed when the blazing sun dried them into pavement stains.

Re: Dream of the Dragon
I really like this! :D Nice and Lovecraftian without the purple prose. The atmosphere reminds me alot of a short story by Chad Fifer of the HPL Literary Podcast from ages ago, although his one is from the Dragon's perspective. Heres a link, I think you'd enjoy it. http://hppodcraft.com/2010/11/17/th...

Just Another Shaggy Dog Story
There had been much excitement amongst the canine community in anticipation of the ‘Pooches Promenade’. They arrived in droves, genteelly unfastening their tails at the door and hanging them on endless rows of hooks around the foyer. There was dancing and merrymaking until the wee small hours when a...

Re: A knock at the door
I really like the ambiguity of this one, it makes you think about the possible relationships between the characters. I took it that the narrator and Joanne were perhaps Terrance's daughters, that the police or social services were hammering on the door, and that it took so long to clean the floorboa...

Diary of the World's End
It was October when they first arrived. Great wings carried them over rooftops and into our city squares. They dragged us from our houses, herded us, corralled us then branded our flesh with metal symbols heated in the roaring pyres where once our churches stood. Few attempted escape, and those that...

Re: Post your Twitfic Twabbles Here! (General Content)
To celibrate my 100th post I thought I'd share an epitaph that I saw on a gravestone as a kid. It resonated with the teenage-me so much I have never forgotten it, so I've clumsily cobbled it into a Twabble... here goes. An Epitaph Remember as you pass me by As you are now so once was I, As I am now ...

I awoke to a loud gurgling noise from the wardrobe.
Then came the roaring and an icy scream...
Narnia was flooding again.
