Re: A Living Together

Nice one. Well, not nice, but well-executed. You pack much into 100 words.

Nice drabble. I'll have to add E.T.A Hoffman to my extensive backlog of authors to read.

The starship shudders in an energy flux. “You underestimate the danger,” I say, finishing my coffee. My passenger grins. “I have a perfect forged identity waiting for me at the Pavonis system. Thanks for the extended deadline. I was meaning to vote, but got behind in my podcasts and wasn't going to be able to listen all of the nominees before the cutoff.

"The past has changed, I learn in my sleep. Small events have evolved into mammoth ones... I don't have to kill my grandpa. I just have to tickle his hairy balls."

Wow. When I was a kid, I can't imagine all the times I changed the future for three dollars and a candy bar.

Re: Drabblecast 356 - An Exodus of Wings

The production values on this one were amazing. Not only all of the sound effects and the music, but the use of stereo. Especially in Part 3, when I could hear the insects flying past in the park, and the voice of the female protagonist circling around from the left to the right channel as she spoke...

Re: Drabblecast 353 - Primrose or Return to Il’maril

I liked this one. Very philosophical, and well-paced. Very nice story. But I have to wonder if they all just burned up in flames and the the group that left worried them selfs to death? Or did they die out from the lack of sun. That's for the audience to decide for themselves, I guess. Maybe the dre...

The first story I liked. Didn't really understand the second story of this doubleheader, I just didn't get it.

Re: Drabblecast 355 - Kiriki Grocery

Very cool, quirky story. Why wouldn't aliens have grocery stores very similar to our own? Makes sense, doesn't it? And if the aliens have money and grocery stores, then perhaps armed robbery is inevitable. Perhaps if humanity encountered alien life forms, we'd find them all a bit too familiar... My ...

I really liked this one as well. Surrealist story about the class struggle. It really struck me with its dreamlike imagery.

I liked One Night in Bangkok. It had a novel concept, and was short and cute. I wasn't such a fan of The Spider. Killing a spider shouldn't pose an existential crisis.

Re: Drabblecast 350 - Trifecta XXX: Something Fishy

Fantastic production work on this one. The background music really enhanced the mood. In the Eyes of the Needy was a haunting, memorable story. I loved how the story shifted my attitudes towards the characters back and forth by revealing more and more of the situation as the story progressed. Izam r...

Very nice. I live in Japan, and that forest is infamous as the suicide forest. It's very hard to find one's way out once one has ventured in, and large deposits of iron in the surrounding area make compasses useless. I had to think about the word kōtōgakkō for a minute, as the normal word for high s...
