Re: Blood ritual laws?

Don't know how long the law has been on the books, but a friend in the emergency medical field claimed about 15 years ago the New Orleans area had a problem with wannabe vampires / witches and a number of people got hurt bad enough to need hospitalization.

(§107.1. Ritualistic acts http://www.legis.la.gov/legis/law.aspx?d=78261). "The acts defined in this Sub...

Algernon Sydney is Dead wrote:He says he's done 20,000 exorcisms. He looks to be 60-70ish. That's about 1 exorcism a day for his entire adulthood.
I've seen someone else claim thousands of exorcisms, I wonder if it counts as multiple cases if some of people were possessed by multiple demons??

Um, you're praying to aphid poop...

People pray at tree outside St. Johns Cathedral in Fresno, California, say tree weeps God's tears. Experts: Tree drips with bug excrement, not tears "The aphides will suck the sap, the sap goes through the aphid and then it is a honey dew excrement from the aphid and it gets so heavy in the summerti...

Most home insurance covers a Sharknado

"A tornado is a wind event," says Mike Barry, vice president of media relations. Wind events, including hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones and other such calamities, are covered under a standard policy. But a falling shark? "It would be covered, yes, as a falling object," Barry confirms. http://news.c...

Re: Good Samaritan

If I had the ambition for a longer work the other thing to explore is how would the serial killer react to find his victim already dead, or unresponsive to further torture? I couldn't decide if the time traveler was killing her, or just anesthetizing her to save her from torture, so I figured it was probably best to leave it hanging. When it comes to time travel I've always liked the "twig in a river" theory from the book Time and Again . In that story, the chance of s...

The bound and battered woman whispered desperately, “Aren’t you going to save me from this psycho? “No. I’m so sorry,” replied the time traveler. “I’m restricted by the flow of time.
