Also, apparently one of the legislators arguing against the ban (I think the guy mentioned in the article linked) called Truck Nutz an "expression of truckliness" in floor debate.

To be fair, some of DC's best stories, including the year one third place (and one of my all-time favorites), are about things going IN...

Great story. The characters really felt human.

Warmth of the Sun was my favorite, even if I'm not sure I totally got it the first time. My Moustache wins the most fun medal, at least for the trifecta, probably for the drabblecast over all, at least since Jelly Park. The blonde moustache had me laughing out loud right here in my studio apartment...

FYI, this project is on an indefinite hiatus, as I ran into some plot issues that are seemingly insurmountable. I'll probably pick up the script again after letting it rest, but don't hold your breath. I'll be sending an email to the people who have expressed interest with more info.

But it can be helpful. I pointed the accent change out to my sister, who is an American expat living in the Sydney area... she's thinking about wearing "asking for it" clothes in wombat-inhabited areas, just so people will stop asking about the accent.

Man said 'wombat rape' led to accent change

If "rape by a hoax animal" is drabblenewsworthy, surely "rape by animal a hoax" is. Right?

Pretty odd story, either way.

Yeah, the narration was much more exciting than the actual story. Endings are nice in a story, and that wasn't one. It resolved the conflict, but it didn't earn resolution. Not sure if it should have been a little longer or a little shorter. Also, I had the same problem I did with Crimson: The story...

Isn't the tension of this story based upon not being able to ignore a kid's desires? I mean, that's the only way adults survive children, being able to say "no" and/or have some ability to control the undeveloped mind. I think that's why the zombies have been such a point of discussion, at least fo...

OK, I have to admit: I am totally sick and tired of zombies, espescially as writers seem less and less able to contain them to zombie stories. First Pseudopod with the zombies-in-coal-mines story, now they're spoiling a perfectly good psi story? Seriously, what's next, Zombies of Sweet Valley High? ...

Sketch comedy podcasts?

I've been missing the crazy hilariousness that independent sketch comedy can be, and sure enough, when I did a quick search of the various directories, there are a ton of sketch comedy podcasts out there. Problem is, listening through episodes of a ton of them I find the same problem you do looking ...
