Ewwww! Okay, I'll admit, I'm not one for grossout stories. I expect this is a good one of those, but not really my thing...

Re: Drabblecast 005 - Guardians

I really enjoyed this one. Pratchett has instilled a love of anthropomorphic personifications, and its nice to see the guardian angels as a real force in the world. Good stuff!

Haha, I hadn't seen the ending coming at all. Rather than use this kind of enforcement for speeding, I want to have a way to do this when someone cuts me off or tries to run me off the road!

Re: Drabblecast 023 - Momentum

Not a bad little zombie carnie tale. The most interesting part for me though was the description of how to use momentum to improve your results at the hammer game. I've never had that much interest in the game, not being particularly brawny, but I like that the best solution does not require a great...

Re: Drabblecast 030 - 2084

Hehe, another good classic type of odd story for the Drabblecast. I can totally see our future going here by the year 2084. Funny how each generations of what is safe and what is not shift because of technology and social pressures. Both entertaining and a worthy commentary on this trend.

Was this the one about him thinking that he was ceasing to exist? Was definitely fun. I like stories with characters of ambiguous sanity. :)

Re: Drabblecast 215 - Dread Unlocks

Good story. Yay for continued Lovecraft month! I do agree with Ham though, that although paparazzi are eldritch horrors, it's the people who buy those magazines that are facilitating that horror. It's of course much harder to exact revenge on the millions of people who buy those, though, so settling...

I loved loved loved this story! Yet another win for the Drabblecast's Lovecraft Month commissioned stories. Good work, Eugie! And what is it with Drabblecast messing with the image of Teddy Bears, between this and Teddy Bears and Tea Parties? I loved the reveal as we suddenly realize exactly what sh...

Re: Drabblecast 212 - Ancient Engines

Thanks, but I just don't see that happening much anymore. Without easy access to flipping through pages of updates or seeing a list of all updates like before, I don't imagine you are going to get quite the same level of new first time readers of backlog stories... I'm doing that. :( Also, I once a...

Re: Drabblecast 213 - The Haunter of the Dark

I have now read/heard exactly two Lovecraft stories, both due to Drabblecast. :p Pretty creepy, I enjoyed them, but not necessarily enough to seek out more of his stuff - his writing style's a little overwrought for my tastes. Keen for those commissioned stories! Last year's were so good. :) If you...

You might be right about the FreeForums factor. Maybe it might help to mention briefly in the show that the forum's been upgraded to one that doesn't have those same "features" that might make people reluctant to join?

Re: Drabblecast 213 - The Haunter of the Dark

Yay Lovecraft! I'm glad to see the old Lovecraft stories run here every August. That's a cool tradition. I haven't read many Lovecraft stories so it's nice to have a place to catch up on them occasionally. This one was good, along the lines that Lovecraft seems to be the most known for. I love the c...

Re: Drabblecast 211 - At the End of the Hall

When I say "nice to meet you" it tends to be along the lines of what tbaker said, it's not so much that the brief contact was so immensely enjoyable, but that this is the potential opening for getting to know them better. Also, if it's a friend of a friend that I hear about all the time, it may be m...
