Yes. What people believe generally has a lot more to do with what makes them feel secure than with any facts they've digested and logic they've exercised. Which is another reason why the narrator's murder was a gross overreaction. I must disagree with Luke, though: Ass kicking pandas can be deep and...

Hmm... I guess I wasn't really taking the premise of the story seriously, now that I think about it. If it were discovered that the Universe is made of modular tiles (like a Starcraft map, yo!) I would assume that it was done for a reason and want to know what the reason was, assuming that the reaso...

Aliya,

You should make this into a faux children's book with lots of illustrations (similar in style to The Little Prince: looks like it's for kids but really isn't). It would rock. I'd buy a copy.

I just assumed it was true when I heard the news (although the skit was a bit much for my prudish sensibilities) . I thought the experiment was stupid but the result was essentially nothing more than "sex is good for you." Really? Wow! I bet clean air, sunshine and exercise are good for me too! Prob...

I really dug this one... but. Great idea. Ontological speculation is always cool, and the telling was quite good, both in terms of story and audio production. I also like the idea that one can discover the universe's deep secrets just by paying close attention. But I don't see why this discovery wou...

Can't say I cared for this one at all. Not every story has to have a surprise ending, but this one I saw from three, maybe four miles out. As soon as we learned that the paleontologist was working an the oldest homo sapiens find ever, I was 55% sure it was going to be about time travel. Once it was ...

Drabblecast 044 - The Arc of Hronos

"The Arc of Hronos" by Anden Sharp

“No problem, doctor,” Anash said, his black eyes shining. “I’ve almost finished checking those measurements. That tooth—” He nodded at the incisor. “—it looks homo sapien. It could be the oldest ever- this could be huge Dr”

Cthulhu!

While I'm listening to it... I've been really impressed with The Cthulhu Podcast by a Brit who goes by the name FNH. The format is tripartite - First a bit history about the 1920s, then a piece of music from 1920s, and finally a story by H.P. Lovecraft or something reminiscent of his stuff. I really...

Best ever?

I know this is like the third time I've said this, but that might have been the best Drabblecast ever. Production is always good, but  I mean :!: . Guest voices and an original song on top of the usual great voice-work? Bravo! And I loved the story itself. It gave me that fuzzy feeling I get ...

Guess I'll be the first to comment. This story didn't do much for me. I liked the moral about generosity and the karmatic nature of society, but the story was very predictable and not very fun. My main problem with it is actually a logistical one: If Mega Man doesn't make any money being a hero, the...

I've listened to a couple. I really like the idea. I can get something useful out of my mundane job by listening to books while I work. But I haven't found any gems so far. I tried "Seeds of the Machina" and really liked it... But the author seems to have stopped halfway through. I've been left hang...

iTunes for everything. Listening to anything through a browser is a pain. Speaking of which, would it be possible to provide a direct link to the archived files, as opposed to having them stream through a QuickTime player? If I could simply download an audio file, I could add archived episodes to an...
