Kind of cheezy and vague, this brand of crazy doesn't really work for me and in the end it just seemed kind of, well, pointless.

Yessir, that is the the hallmark of Frank Key's stories - pointless. Sometimes you love 'em, sometimes you hate 'em, but they're always pointless.
You're my quasi-ichthian angel, you're my half-amphibian queen...

The Dribblecast, we don't care if you sound like an idiot.

Thanks for clearing that up! I have listened to the episode three times now and I just didn't get it. I kept thinking it was due to my attention deficit problems and that I just needed to focus some more. So I took the Drabblecast with me to my bath tub for some extra focussing. And still I don't get it. Pf

I did like the Drabble news though! Not so 'meh' at all!
I'll be there in 5 minutes. If not, read this again.

I just listened to this story again. I really, really like it. Recently I've been finding myself using the phase "My captain, oh my captain..".

Doing a little search on the intertubes, that phrase certainly seems to be an homage to "O Captain! My Captain!" by Walt Whitman.

I really dig how Norm produces Frank's stories.

I wonder if Frank wrote this in the lofty academical style known as "The Lib of Madness". Or something like that. Well, I can always count on Frank for some hardcore weirdness. This one was an especially weird variety of weird. The weirdness was so all-pervading that it began to look mundane after a while, like taking a long camping trip in a Lovecraftian landscape. After a few days you stop staring at the Cyclopean castle and the stygian flames and the indescribable beasties from the depths, and you go back to eating your cans of beans and roasting marshmallows over the campfire.

This is just..... Bizarre. ANd I really enjoyed it. Have to admit, I was trepidatious, as the Goat God thing was perhaps a bit too weird for me. But I enjoyed this one.
