The discovery of life on another planet

Post by skippy » Wed Feb 24, 2010 3:35 pm

The discovery of life on another planet had several interesting affects on planet Earth, and its population.

There was a surprisingly short-lived existential crisis, followed by a boom of industry and scientific advancement. Television programs re-ignited the people's imagination. A number of cottage industries were born, and an army of new middle managers was recruited. Transportation, fuel, and safety inspection services vied with the hard sciences, like biologist, climatologist, and minerologist, for the highest paying jobs.

But it was the fast food industry that profited the most, when it was discovered that alien life was so darn tasty.

Bravo!
High fiber, heart-healthy, Snackwell aliens. Probably taste like chicken.
But transport costs would be problematic, unless we could convince them to migrate here. Oh, oh, I know! They are gonzo for Rock, Paper, Scissors!

This reminds me of an episode of Futurama. Nice job and an excellent way to make your first post on the forums.
