Dawn of the Robins

Post by CLP » Fri May 28, 2010 2:11 pm

“Poop so I can get to work, dog.” She pulled on the leash sniffing at the ground.
“What did you find?” I pulled her back behind me so I could get a look.
It was a dead robin. Its body was unscathed, but its head was splayed and empty. “What the Hell! Let’s get out of here, girl.”
We turn to see two mangy robins behind us, feathers askew. One was missing an eye, and had ribs poking out through mangled flesh. The other’s head was twisted upside-down. They let out a wicked call and took flight right for us.

And this has been such a year for the Robins! But, what does Dribble mean? I could guess or infer... But I'd rather not.

The Dribblecast is a fan podcast put on by us, the listeners of the Drabblecast.
It's website is:
http://dribblecast.posterous.com/

But most of the action is taking place just a category over on this fine forum:

Thanks, glad you liked it!
Story is awesome, it just resonates so well with the number of dead robins I've seen around.

My first reaction is that they wouldn't fly very well with holes in their wings.
