Drink Me

Looking down into the green bottle, I know that the apothecary has served me well. It may be tiny but I know that it’s just enough to get me to join my love in the other world. Just enough for me to die and to end my suffering.

I see the body of my love laid before me in the crypt, and I take the draught of death. One swig and it is done.

I find the ceiling growing higher and higher away from me. I’m getting smaller and smaller!

Only then do I read the bottle’s label.
