“Martin seed me,” The toddler mumbled.

“Tommy, it’s “saw”. Can you say that?” The mother said chidingly.

“What happened?”

“I ain’t gonna tell you.” Tommy pouted.

“It’s “isn’t” and why don’t you go show me, OK honey?”

The pudgy youngling led his mother down the hall by the hand.

Squeaking open the door to the playroom, she caught the cloying metallic smell first.

The walls were splattered with dark red gore. By the playpen was a mass of ground meat.

Not meat.

Martin, the babysitter, dead.

He tugged on her sleeve, smiling, revealing blood-stained teeth.

He didn’t let her scream.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
-Dr. Seuss
