The Problem (Mech themed)
The Problem (Mech themed)
“The Problem, Mister President, is one of drive.”
The President leant back. His first days had been a steep learning curve, but this shocked him to his core.
“And by ‘drive’...?”
“The will to continue,” said the Cybernautics Division head. “Before we place the, um, brain into the new chassis, we must be sure the man he once was is still driven enough to want to carry on fighting after death.”
“And where do you get these… brains?”
“Wars, sir.”
“Are you telling me my predecessors waged wars to harvest the brains of our soldiers?”
“Oh no. Not our soldiers.”

Mmmm... tall, dark, and morbid. Right up my bookshelf.

A story doesn't have to have be happy, to gain happiness from a story.

O nose! It always starts this way.
First it's the charming accent, and the enormous knife.
It won't be long, though, before he's dropping hints about how all the prettiest girls hate Snaketopus, and the amazing tricks Cricket Bat can do with his legs.

Tangental topic drift is one of the most charming things about the DC forum. Its like free association without the 175/hr.Mikes wrote:Well this conversation hasn't gone the way I thought it would.

Fair enough, but going from brain-harvesting mech soldiers to Cricketbat and his musical legs within three posts is surely more a skid then a drift.

Adding sound effects to the forums is a fine idea. We should also have boos and cheers on the MBDM forum, as well as beast sounds, obviously.
