Difficult Move (Lost Colony Themed)

Post by acpracht » Fri Aug 24, 2012 1:39 am

The door of the house flew open with the crunch of splintering wood and tinkling glass. Books flew out like a literary machine gun. Then furniture – tables, chairs, dressers, ottomans – tumbling end over end. Clothes spewed in a stream, like a magician pulling colored scarves from his top hat.
Last came four final pops, depositing ragged people onto the dew-laden grass – mother, father, brother, sister.
The children wailed while father made an angry phone call.
"Why are you so upset?" asked the voice. "You knew when you agreed to move and become a transplant that there was risk of rejection."

Sounds like something out of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, hehe.
