Halloween: Doll

Knit two, purl two. Cast on sinew and yarn over nine. Steadily progress, adding and taking away stitches as necessary. Five thin needles create shapes that wrap around structure and become something more than the pattern being worked. Stitch together smooth stockinet the for the limbs and stretchy ribbing for the chest. Use layers of lacework to shape hands and face, style thin cords into hair.

"The detail is impressive." The customer gives a low whistle, turning the voodoo doll over in her hands, the scent of herbs, flesh, and grave dust seeping out. "So, how much do I owe you?"
