Halloween: Killer Satisfaction

Post by Mildred » Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:01 pm

Her hair is spread like a paint splatter on the pillow, dark and wet. Eyes glisten like marbles on a storm washed sidewalk, bright with reflected candlelight and everything that is good in the world. A hand, limp and languid, brushes against the vintage lace bedspread.

I'm in the bathroom, hot steam from the shower billowing into the bedroom like autumn fog, taking with it the scent of sandalwood soap. A soft tune plays from the old bedside radio, the mood music of tonight's passionate beginning melding away into a gentle ending refrain.

Take me home, the dead woman had said.

Interesting. I wonder if she delivered her line before or after death? I'm entirely unsure which would make the story creepiererer.
