Happy Old Year (Holiday themed)

Post by munsi » Fri Dec 07, 2012 8:05 am

Times are tough all around. Not just here, everywhere.

So when 2012 came to an end, and we realized we couldn’t afford a New Year, nobody was surprised.

It wasn’t a big deal, at any rate.

We’re celebrating 1991 instead.

Yes, the futurist in me recoils, I’d looked forward to seeing what 2013 might have to offer, but after all, one has to make do.

I’m at a good party, surrounded by friends, is the fact that I’m ringing in the old year that big a deal?

Right here, right then, there is no other place I’d want to be…

I really like this idea. I may celebrate 1981 this time around.

Myself, I plan on partying like it's 1999, (again...)

I just got approved for a sizable loan of temporal currency, so I will be celebrating 3012. The interest payments will be hell to pay, especially once the introductory rate is increased after seventy-two months. Still worth it. :)

We should all have our student loans paid by then.

I like this idea. Can we do this for our birthdays as well? :P
William - I really like the idea of celebrating the old year, and I am going to do that at Vegas Hotels next NYE.

Oh, don't worry. If you make it to 78, or so, you'll start recycling birthdays. Probably get to wear diapers again, too! :D

Welcome aboard, Williamsberg! Always nice to have a whole town as a DC forum member. (Or is that a whole mountain since it's mispellerized 'berg' vs 'burg'?)
