No More Motors

I never thought Ed would get that old thing working. He'd come in from the garage, night after night, with grease-stained hands and slump into his easy chair with a dejected sigh. He was moving from hobby to obsession. He'd consulted manuals and schematics. He haunted auto-shops and gear head message boards. But, it wasn't until he tried the little occult shop downtown that he had any luck. I saw him lug that big dusty book out to the garage. An hour later, I heard the engine purr, hiss, and scream something in Latin. Ed works on boats now. Sailboats.
