Every night he dreamed the dream.

A pilgrim pausing after a journey of infinite steps, regarding forever stretching before him.

Raising the hourglass he could no longer bear to carry, he lifted it high and sent it sailing against the cliffs of eternity, sand scattering across the universe leaving matter lying broken and in chaos.

He awoke and, as always, shuffled to his workbench adjusting his glasses and lenses to regard the nearly complete watch on the table before him.

Adjusting the mainspring, he set it's workings in motion.

Laying it in a velvet box, he began to assemble another.

I can't believe these slipped past Miss Grimsley. Are they really ok?

"Those who know don't say. Those who say don't know."
The wise sinsei knows the proper time of silence, for his warrior to become conscious.
