The Idyllic Couple

When I look at her now, I can remember well the joy we had, and the dreams we shared of our future. I can still see the sparkle in her deep brown eyes, the laugh in her smile, the sun in her golden hair. She is wearing that blue dress, the one that twirled and floated when she danced in the meadow after an idyllic picnic. I can still see her... the way she used to be. I begin to tell her of my day, but the doorbell rings, so I kiss her frosty lips and close the freezer door...

Excellent twist. I was in suspense as I read it... how was this going to go? Great story telling.

I too was wondering where it would go and was not disappointed. Excellent job! I really enjoyed this one. :lol:
