Not a Drabble - please read - very important

A project that I am putting together. So many talented writers put their work here, so I thought I would open this up to Drabblecast members.

David Bowie Memorial Anthology Collection
I'm looking at putting together an anthology of short fiction and poetry inspired by David Bowie's music, movie roles, and life.
No specific genre. David’s music spanned all genres, so I’m not limiting submissions or writing to any specific genre. Depending upon the types of stories and poetry submitted, and the volume of entries, this may become a MULTI – VOLUME series, at which point if different genres are represented, there could be a book of horror, sci – fi, romance, erotica, etc.
Poetry, prose, whatever. The idea is, write whatever you're inspired to write by his music. If it's erotic romance, great. Splatter punk, fine. Hard core horror, beautiful.
Around 7,000 word cap for prose stories (not a hard cap), no minimum. If it takes you 8,500 words to tell your story, no problem, but please don't send a 15 or 20,000 word piece. I you have something that's longer, let me know. Poetry of any length is cool (no epic poems please, this isn’t ancient Greece.)
Any and all money made from sales will be donated to Cancer Research so we don't have to keep losing our heroes to this horrible plague.
This project is a purely for love of David Bowie collection. Payment will be in the form of free digital versions and discounted print copies to all whose work is accepted.
Open To:
Anyone who is interested. Published writers or unpublished writers. You don't need a laundry list of previously published work to submit, so please, do not let that dissuade you. If you have something, send it. What's the worst that could happen? Really?
Some Rules:
No rape, no child pornography. These are big for me, and I don't want to see them. Sexuality and erotica is fine, not pornography please.
I'm not looking for "fan fiction" here. We've all written that great sequel to Labyrinth or amazing follow up to The Man Who Fell To Earth that is brilliant and powerful and emotional and beautiful. I'm sorry, but this is not the place for that. Due to copyright and licenses and other legal garbage, I can't print it, so I can't accept submissions for it.
However, if you are inspired by David's Goblin King portrayal and it has spoken to you in a way that demands to be put out, I would be happy to read and consider it! Don't stifle your creativity!
Please format in “.doc” or “.docx” format.
Times New Roman - 11.
1.5 spaced.
If your work is formatted a specific way for artistic purposes (poems broken up in for cadence or the like) please insure that you let me know so I don’t muck it up.
Send all submissions to:
Subject: David Bowie Memorial, (your name), (title of submission)
Include in the body of the email: Word Count, genre, and type of submission (Flash Fiction, Short Story, Poem, etc.)
Upon acceptance of any submission, I will request a short bio (200 words or so.) Please do not send one with your submission.
