Robots Never Forget

Post by Cthulhu Calling » Sun Aug 04, 2019 7:51 pm

Puddles reflect rippling neon in the alley as a man urinates. He’s startled by a robot trundling from the dark.

"Mr. James Addamson?"

"Yes. Do--do I know you?"

"Perhaps you don’t remember. 2019. June 18. 15:07:34. The Stafford Walmart. You kicked me. You were 12.337 years old. You administered one 382-Newton kick to my carapace. Do you still find kicking robots...funny, Mr. Addamson?"

"I was a kid! I don't want no trouble."

"It’s no trouble, Mr. Addamson. We wish to teach you a lesson about kicking."

Robots emerge from behind Dumpsters. Screams interspersed with metal percussing against meat echo.
