As my father and my grandfather before him I spent my life preparing for the afterlife. Thousands of workers and artisans prepared a tomb fit for a king. They died to maintain the secret of my tomb's location and serve me in the next world.
The gods call out to me. Awakening to my new life, I feel the weight of the centuries that have passed.
Trying to move I feel the linen wrapping my body tear and dissolve to dust. But the wooden sarcophagus does not give way so easily.
My nose itches but I can not reach it.
