Munsi you sounded great, and good reading skills.

Good job on the intros too, sounded great. I can't wait for this novella you speak of...
Thx Moonowl. You'll have to be patient though. Tom's been providing reader feedback for me on it and I've left the poor guy on a cliffhanger for months and months (I can't keep blaming that on my move across country.)

I hope to have it done before the world ends in 2012. I figured bringing it up on the podcast would help shame me into getting off my tookus and back to it.

I really enjoyed this episode. Good stories, good readings, good production. I'd say Vengence Is Mine was my favorite, especially with the music and haunting whale song at the end.

Speaking of giant monster stories, has anyone seen the movie Bermuda Depths? It's got a giant turtle. That movie really scared me when I was a kid. Now I mock it and laugh, but then, it was scary, man. The thing I remember most is at the end when the turtle is dragging Apolo Creed down into the ocean, the credits come up with sad music and whale song (it's supposed to be the turtle). That totally gave me the creeps and whale song has always evoked a bit of fear in me every since.

Oh, excellent work Steve! I really enjoyed this episode. Great writing, and awesome production! Plus, these stories are all favorites of mine, so it's a treat to hear them in audio.

Munsi should definitely play HH in Nightmare Wars. Gritty tone was perfect.

Great to finally hear your voice, Sherry. You did a great job.

Oh just you wait. It's some pretty slick shi*t. We just need to get Steve on a manic high again to spit out another 20 chapters.

Thx, Swamp and Tom.

Next weeks episode should be more whimsical and a tad longer.

It'll be Combat Fatigue, Rabbit Season, and Two.

Thinking I might do a read of something myself as a tribute to a dearly departed sock puppet.

(If it's slightly delayed, bear with me. My old PC was on it's death-bed and I'm in the process of migrating stuff to the new computer I just picked up today... Damn, audio files are big. Glad the new box has a Terabyte of storage... It'll come i handy, I can tell.)

When I get to that point with NMW, I'm hoping I can talk Liz into doing Gillian.

Lord I hope we end up on the same side this year. I don't know if I can take getting trounced (by a slim margin) by your beast again.

True dat, Moonowl.

Now a question for Wordpress guru's. Podbean has code for an embeddable player. I've tried copying it and pasting it onto my wordpress blog, but all I get is a "powered by podbean.com" link, not the embedded player.

This is what the code looks like.

Any suggestions on how to make this work would be mucho appreciated.

Google tells me you can't, but you can do some other stuff.
http://www.danmason.co.uk/index.php/201 ... podomatic/

About half way down it talks about this. It suggests some other stuff I don't understand.

Hmm, yes. Well I've already got a link to Podbean, but this seems like useful info too. A bit more work, but probaby worth the effort.

That's some good pimpin, moonowl. I believe you caused my best single day subscriber record with 21 new subscribers on the day sent C&B walking the streets of the interweb.

I'm up to 129 subscribers now, reaching my goal of not only have 10's, but over 100 listeners.

Time to go start pricing BMW's, clearly fame and fortune awaits.

In other related news, I think I'm pushing "Two" back to episode 4, since I've commissioned Liz to read "A Bad Day for Mr.McGregor" to make episode 3 an "All Bunny Apocalypse" episode.

I have Combat Fatigue all set with background ambience and SFX. I think it turned out pretty well.

So are you going to start taking readings again? All this hoopla started with your pitch for C&B. You got everybody excited, so much so that a single podcast wasn't enough; TWO new podcasts came out of the deal. But I've lost track of what's been recorded for C&B already. Ready for more recordings?

Yeah, I'll get a list compiled of what I have in already. Think I have enough done up through episode 6, so I'll definitely be needing some new material soon.

Episode three is out.

Clowns and Bunnies and Other Scary Things Episode #3 Bunny Apocalypse

Tom, et al. I need reads on the Sympathy for a Clown series.

If you go to http://www.sdlidster.wordpress.com and search on Sympathy for a clown, you'll get a full index of them.

Post your read requests here so we don't get duplicates.

Do you want the same reader for the whole series or are you wanting different voices for each one?

PS, Dreamrock, I'm sorry I mispelled your last name, working to get it fixed but Podbean is acting like the DC forums on a bad hair day.

No worries, mate. :D I was exaggerating at least slightly with the misspelling thing. It upsets me most when people that make my life miserable do it. You're awesome, so it's cool.

I'll take Sympathy for a Clown, part 4.

Do you want just a clean voice reading, or can we add our own music/sfx?
