I'm not especially talented with graphics, but if someone wanted to combine Bell's find with the twitter account background of @thedribblecast, the background I'm using there is available under a creative commons license that would be totally kosher since no one is making or charging money off/on Dribblecast (if there's an interest, I can link so you can get the exact info and the original much larger photo, etc.).

Worse come to worse, I will pester MrsMica about it. She occasionally wields a stylus. >_>

It's time for updated story-related banner ad entries.

Attribution, Non-Commercial. Daniel Bauer is the one to attribute it to, but I'd just put a watermark of http://www.flickr.com/photos/dcbauer/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; on the graphic like I did with the twitter background for The Dribblecast.

Bell's graphic is here.

Extra Shiny? You liked? :D

It bombed in the Pseudopod contest. :( Must be MsMica's reading the femme fatale. Literally.

 I think it kicks ass in audio. If just read in text form it might be a little "Eh, where's the story?" for some people. But with acting and voices and whatnot, the story totally comes across. Playful and deadly. :o

I actually like the anemones better than what I did. Same reference to the Sistine chapel ceiling, but less contrived than my two cephalopods. Very... organic. Just like the Dribblecast.

For the part I had to play in that, thanks, Tom. :D

The other dribs I dibbed: I haven't forgotten about you. I would have put the second one together tonight, but I forgot my power supply. Audio is recorded but the netbook's battery won't last long enough to process audio files.

Soooo, how do we apply for voice work? I'm unfortunately not much of a forum troller, but I'm an avid listener and writer. I'd be very interested in doing some voices or reading a story/drabble or two.

Hello Digitalsatyr! Yes, please lend your talent, this is the place to have fun and not be embarrassed. Check out the first page of this thread http://drabblecast.freeforums.org/fan-c ... t1402.html for how to get going. Email it in, and it gets posted!

Looking forward to hearing ya soon.

If you'd like a few story suggestions to get you started, some of my recent favorite are:

Sorry for not getting on here earlier i have "Mars of my youth" recorded and have tried to send it to dribblecast@yahoo.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and keep getting failures (PERM_FAILURE: Error (state 13) with my gmail and yahoo accounts. Also did you want it with music or without? Just email me Thegmail.com or The@yahoo.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so i can figure s way to get the file to you.

Either with or without music is fine.

I just tried a test e-mail (with attachment as I saw yours without attachment go through alright) and it went through. What's the size of the file you're sending?

I think both Gmail and Yahoo limit the attachment size to 20 MB.

At any rate, if you have Skype, that's the best way to send files when e-mail isn't working. I don't want to type my Skype address into a public space so if you could send me yours via PM or via the e-mail I'm sending you, we can give it a try.

EDIT: Also, I copied down your e-mail addresses, so I think you'll want to take them out of the post as nasty people program robots to vacuum people's addresses from the web for spamming purposes.

So turns out that is why i could not send them to you was because my gmail was hacked already and they were not allowing me to send any files because they had been flagged. My Gmail is clean and fresh and i sent it to this mysterious Mr quincy.

 Had to do a bit of level adjusting, but it's up and running. Fantastic cranky old-man read. :D

Quincy is a phantom, the silent silent partner (ten pointless points to whoever guesses which movie I'm referencing). In truth, Yahoo and Posterous wanted a full name and James Dribble sounded kinda daft.
