I just went there to test, and it loads fine for me. I didn't try listening to anything, but the website is there.

They must cut the wires to your house. Do you see anyone suspicious in the bushes outside?

The site loads fine for me, but they've had big changes recently at Libsyn. Are you using Firefox or something else?

Well, I guess the Giant Squid Clowns have finally found me and cut the wires. I hope this message gets out.

Or do you think Firefox doesn't like me? Dang, it likes you guys. I am deeply, deeply hurt. Pariah...a cast out from Podiobooks. Simply b/c I would not do their bidding and breed manatee monkeys in my basement. UNBELIEVABLE!

THX for the help...guess I'll keep on trying but this is the third day, on Firefox (which works fine for everything else) and on a PC and a Mac. Help?

Boy, that is weird. If only you were more responsive to the idea of mutant manatees...

I use Firefox. It's been a while since I've had a site stop working in Firefox, while continuing to function in IE, but it has happened to me a few times. You could try another browser. Try other computers in the same house? Do you have a nanny program? I dunno.

Yesterday Podiobooks was tweeting about it:
Podiobooks on twitter wrote:Seeing a few reports that the site is unreachable. Had some issues yesterday, but seems OK now. Have alerted Chris & Clair. Sorry!
Podiobooks on twitter wrote:Can you check to see if you have access to Podiobooks.com right now? If not, click here & tell us: http://twurl.nl/eotoqo
So, I think they know there are some problems and they're working on it.

Yeah, that quote is not really on topic, but it's a very cool novel. Thanks to Mr. Tweedy I discovered it and it's FUN!
I'll be there in 5 minutes. If not, read this again.

*hijacks thread further* Yea I wasn't too happy with the ending. It seems so... anemic, after such a good story.

*riding the hijacked thread, Yeehaaa!* I wasn't even aware it was the end! I thought "Ah, so that's where the story will be going now, I wonder how long this novel is going to be!" ... and then it was over. That gave me a weird anti-climaxy feeling.

Ha, the ending was so weird, that I had already forgotten how it ended until you brought it up. Thanks for making me re-live that weird anti-climaxy feeling. Ah, I love being flummoxed by my own head.

I haven't finished it yet...

I think it's weird how he decided to make a novel, but it ended up being almost as episodic as the previous, episodic incarnation. The various episodes more-or-less led into each other, but it could just as easily have been broken up in separate "seasons".

I don't mean to spoil the endig for you, but Patrick McLean was having strange feelings about the ending he gave to his novel too. Yesterday he posted this blog post about endings and sharks and stuff.
