I'm more offended by the incompetence of their ad targeting than I am by the mere presence of ads.

And, on that note, if anyone has any ~140 characters-including-spaces, 140 word stories, or 1,140 word stories that they haven't posted or published anywhere, something called StoryHack is interested in buying one-time non-exclusive publishing rights. Looks like he wants it close to the aforementioned limits but not over at all or substantially under.
