'Twas terrible twabbling, that -- too terse, though thematically tolerable.
Mayhap my "Munsi method" modification?

Reminds me of this one. I feel we are close to establishing a meme.

Alexander had donated his body to medical research, but he was very upset when the mad doctor cut short his eternal rest.

The funny part? There are times I go through a surprising amount of effort to cut 2 letters, free up space and trail off...

Other than the balloon animal gig, there was only one time I remember when twisting a poodle's neck wasn't frowned upon.

Actually I think that ASID is a little hard on you regarding the use of elipsis' (elipsisses?) I look on that as the literary equivalent of the comedian giving that little pause after the punchline to wait for the thunderous applause (or the dreaded *crickets*.) Besides, I know a twabbler that's pretty fond of using double-dashes "--" as spacers... ;-)

Nope. Pretty sure that guy (or gal) only uses dashes as appropriate punctuation1. Never as end-of-story filler (Or a pause at the end of the tale!?!!!).

That's my story and I'm sticking to it... ...

My point here, (and your point is well taken, btw) that the ellipsis is just as much of a fixed element as the word "the" and is really no less valid than the double-dash. Of course, one of the handiest tricks for sizing is to include someone's name in the twabble. Easy to swing character length higher or lower by adjusting the name length.

Yes, and now that you've revealed one of my secrets to the world, we can all agree that names like: X, J, Z, and Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky are all perfectly fine and normal. :D

First three examples are perfectly fine -- if you are twabbling about the MIB -- and the last one is perfectly normal -- if you are twabbling behind the -- former -- iron curtain.

(p.s. I ran a patent check on the name-length variable technique for twabble sizing and it came up clear...)

I would read the HELL out of a book with a lead character named Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky! I would not, however, agree to copyedit it for any amount of money. That'd wind up being a nightmare of misspellings.
