Shouldn't the shower drain be growling? Maybe the sink monster is mad because it wants some too? (Ew)

I just figured the drains were all interconnected, but you make a good point.
So, a little update:

Yes, and after seeing the drabblenews item about the giant throbbing fungus in the drain, the thought that you might be impregnating that mess is pretty damn scary.
