Competitor succumbs in sauna competition

Post by Unblinking » Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:41 pm

Apparently there is such a thing as a "sauna competition" and apparently somebody died while competing in one!

I can just foresee a "Rocky" style series of movies based on this.

Not exactly leaving this world in a "blaze of glory" per se. A "haze of glory" perhaps.

This reminds me of the woman who died of water poisoning trying to win a wii. I hope my own passing comes taking the piss out of a novelty contest. "We used to host the world's longest slip n' slide run here, yes... that was until the 'Bo Kaier' incident."

I thought the same.

What got me was the tales of 'bleeding and weeping open sores' that many of the contestants walked out of the saunas with. Not exactly quick on the uptake, were they?
