Dinosaur Revolution

Post by normsherman » Fri Sep 16, 2011 4:17 am

If you haven't been watching Dinosaur Revolution on Discovery, hot damn are you missing out. It's fantastic!

The commentary is smart and entertaining, the topics they explore are engaging, the cgi is truly top notch and holy crap the story lines for the cgi scenes are just amazing. Not only are there some unbelievably epic and kickass dino battles, there are some very poignant and touching stories as well. Not even joking!
This show is damn near close to BBC's Planet Earth for Dinosaurs (well, as close as we might be able to get at least).

Do yourself a huge favor and start watching this show.

The full episodes are on Youtube I believe.

To bring it home just how damn excited I am about this show, allow me relay to you the long series of embarrassing, uninterrupted drunk text messages I sent to Bo on the night I first saw this show. Censored, of course...

I corroborate, this is the unabridged, one-sided conversation. I had forgotten to turn my phone back on after seeing a movie. It boots up, the next day, 14 messages. Huh. Worried an ex has gone on the warpath. But no, something else entirely: I learn Norm has a heart as big as his liver. There is no doubt in my mind the tears described via txt were entirely real. And that I am a poor f#ck.

Norm- I don't know how this compares to the discovery show as we don't have it in the uk yet, but if you've ever wanted to see a freaking huge spinosaurous eat a giant shark-o-saur of some kind alive- then prepare to simultaneously puke, poo and do the other thing that's like a sneeze only better with excitement.

Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why?

If you are in the UK and see this message please read this advice.

Go to the BBC iPlayer Radio homepage

No doubt retaliation for taking Churchill's bust out of the oval office, and giving the queen the mp3 player with Obama's speeches on it. Either that, or we're being dunned for that tea in the harbor incident.

Must be part of the leopard conspiracy to drive a wedge between our fine nations.

Anyway- behold the wonders of you tube (minus the emotional journey of baby t rexes growing up to witness the end of their world)

I love the way you can track Norm's increasing blood alcohol level throughout the course of the texting.

Same as the SADM discussions. Mamas, don't let your sons grown up to be cryptozoologists.
