The perfect heist?

Check this.

After a jewelry heist in Germany, in which three masked men stole millions of euros worth of merchandise, police thought they had a piece of solid evidence in the form of DNA evidence on a glove left at the scene. However, when they ran the test, they found not one match, but two -- identical twins, both with criminal records. While the evidence does put at least one of them at the scene of the crime, and there's every chance that they were both involved, since either one of them could presumaly have not been there, the evidence is not sufficient to link either to the crime scene.

What they really need to do is find an incontravertible test to determine which one is the evil twin.

Ask each one what the other would say if asked who stole the jewels. You'll get the same lie twice. :) Then again, this only works if one of them always lies and the other always tells the truth...

And, contrary to popular belief, this turns out not to be true of most identical twins!

That is in fact the precise reason that I decided to grow a mustache and goatee - so I could claim to be an evil twin.
