PPZ is the one that started it all. Came out in April of this year and debuted at #3 on the New York Times best seller list. It sold over a million copies so far and is now in 20 languages. The book has been seen or mentioned on Heroes, CSI and Jeopardy, not to mention Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. The movie has been cast (great cast) and will be out in 2011.

Just got my hardback edition on Wednesday and it's really nice.
Seth's next novel is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

For real? Like, really? That's awesome!

PPZ movie? I might actually see that (and I don't see zombie movies).

The prequel to PPZ will be out next year. What? Austen didn't write a prequel you say. Yes, true, but Steve Hockensmith did.

I got these for Xmas and just wrapped up pride prejudice and zombies. I give it a full 5/5 clown eggs.

Very funny without being goofy. I've even felt kinda "zombied-out" lately, still really enjoyed it. Easy read, despite the fact that he stays pretty well in JA's style.

Maybe Seth Grame-Smith has some flash...hmmm....

I'm glad this Genre is being talked about on the discussion boards more. PPZ was the inaugural ...and last Drabblecast Book of the month club selection, although that thread didn't really go anywhere.

I hate HATE HATE Jane Austen. Probably because so many OTHER intellectual middle aged women feel superior that they read Sense and Sensibility as 'literature' over modern fiction romances like Sookie Stackhouse. I know more Austen-heads then Twi Moms. They get all gaga over the days when we were genteel had dry humor and worried about a good marriage (and pretty much romanticized people to good breeding stock). BLEH! I'd rather have a sack of animated Japanese porn. (Morton)

Rant over.

I can't even make myself go near these books. But I delight in the concept.

Well if you don't read the books, there will be movies.

The 4th Quick Classic has just been announced, available in June. This time Tolstoy will get the mash up treatment with Android Karenina, which will transpose the tale of Anna Karenina to a steampunk-inspired alternate 19th-century world of cyborgs, robot butlers, and space travel.
