Earn $ as a Drabblecast Story Scout!

Post by normsherman » Sun Jul 26, 2009 6:09 am

So, seeing as how you're in the Drabblecast family and all, you clearly have good taste. At the very least you're probably more qualified than editor Luke is (trust me). Wanna refer a few stories, help us out and make some cash?

It's this simple:
There's a crapload of markets out there, print and online. Come across a story 2k words or less (or around 3k or less if it's reeeeaaally good) that you think we'd do well, just cut/paste to the body of an email and send our way with the header "Story Referral". If we like it and are able to secure/negotiate rights in our price range, we'll send you 25.00 bucks just for the hook up.

If it's a print mag that you have to send snail mail, send us an email first with a quick synopsis and we'll shoot you the mailing addy.

Drabblecast@yahoo.com

Thanks,
DC

Define good taste. I am pretty sure that I have it, but I am not sure about everybody else round here...

I think you taste lemon-y.
You're my quasi-ichthian angel, you're my half-amphibian queen...

The Dribblecast, we don't care if you sound like an idiot.

Don't believe the hype. I've been waiting on my check for story referrals for 3 years now, and it still hasn't come through.

One day he will look into what a ‘stigmata’ really is; for now, it is his trump card for getting out of work. He simply says ‘stigmata’ and they say ‘shit, hope you feel better soon.’ End of story.

This pleases me immensely.

Oh, right, I'll be on the lookout for good stories as well :)

You're always the hero in your own story - life is about not being the villain in anyone else's.

Oh man, can we still do this?

Not for the money, of course.

Because there are so many stories that would work on the Drabblecast that I must send Norm now, until his computer explodes.

(well, there are one or two.)
