That was a heart-wrenching decision. All five were excellent and worthy of making the top 5.

I went round and round settling on the first 3, and went with Time Machine, because I have a thing for a well crafted time travel story.

Congrats on making the finals, Pheno. Well deserved, as were the rest.

I think you're really going to like this week's story then. :-)

If Freeforums works the way a lot of other forums do, it may not be possible to change the text in the vote thingy without resetting the votes that already happened. D: Really annoying.

FWD:Fwd:RE:Fwd:re:Re:Re Check this out! Get $$$$$ for voting ...

Dude, I totally checked this out and it's legit. My sister's cousin's niece said her friend's uncle already got his cash and sweet Zune.
>>>>Have you heard the good news? Bill Gates has decided he really likes this story he heard on the drabblecast, and wants it to win an award.
He said
>>>he will give $200 and a free Zune to everyone who votes for the story Absent Minded Professor for People's Choice
>>>Best Drabble award. I know it must be true because CNN interviewed Bill at his mansion yesterday to ask if this was a scam, and Bill said that of course it wasn't.
>>> "Why would a respected businessman like me pull a scam like that? I just want justice to be done and have the most awesome, deserving,
>>> and completely humble and not at all sneaky or underhanded drabble author win the contest. Also, I heard Steve Jobs really liked "homeostasis", and I'd rather stuff a Mongolian Death Worm down my pants than let him beat
>>>me at anything."

Or from the main character in this weeks drabblecast, apparently.

Don't do it, man. You don't want to end up like Fry, do the nasty in the past-ey, and end up as your own grandfather, do you?

None of these drabbles are losers, Munsi. One of the will be number 1, though. Yes, ABM did kick ass. So much so that I had to bump my own in round one because I realized I had let it slip my mind.

If you are gonna get beat, get beat by a great drabble, not beaten senseless and left with ringing ears. :)

...definately true. 'tho if a drabble's written that can actually beat me senseless....

...it's unsurprising, i'm half without sense as is :D
